Terms of service
Effective 25 October 2026.
These terms govern the use of the software and services of Xorsand OÜ ("Xorsand"): Relane, OS One, Retold and Recon, and the websites under xorsand.eu. By creating an account, installing a product or paying for one you agree to them.
Accounts
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- You are responsible for keeping your password private and for what happens under your account.
- One account is for one person. Plan limits, such as the number of devices on a Relane plan, apply per account.
Acceptable use
The products exist so that people can connect, work, report and message with their data under their own control. You may not use them to break the law of the country you are in in a way that harms others: distributing malware, attacking networks, fraud, harassment, or sharing material that is illegal to possess. Using Relane to reach the open internet from a filtered network is what it is for.
Prices, billing and cancellation
- Prices are shown in euros on each product page and confirmed on Stripe Checkout before you pay. VAT is applied where it is due.
- Relane Unlimited is a subscription that renews automatically until cancelled. Cancel at any time from your account; access continues until the end of the period already paid for.
- OS One is a one-time licence for the account that bought it.
- Relane's free plan is free, with a monthly traffic allowance and one device.
Refunds and withdrawal
As an EU consumer you have a 14-day right of withdrawal on digital purchases. For subscriptions, write to us within 14 days of the first payment and we refund it. For OS One, write to us within 14 days of purchase; under the EU rules on digital content the right of withdrawal may no longer apply once you have downloaded the installer. Outside these rights, if a product does not work as described and we cannot fix it, ask for a refund at ceo@xorsand.eu and we will treat it fairly.
What the products are and are not
- Relane adapts routes to get through filtering, but no VPN can promise to connect on every network at every moment. A block can become a pause.
- OS One asks for approval before sensitive actions, but you remain responsible for what you approve on your own computer.
- Retold shows corroboration and provenance signals. It does not verify truth, and reports are the responsibility of the people who publish them.
- Recon is end-to-end encrypted, and some network metadata can still be observable, as its page explains.
Availability and changes
We work to keep the services available and may change, pause or retire features. If a paid service is withdrawn, the unused part of what you paid is refunded.
Liability
The products are provided as described on their pages. To the extent the law allows, Xorsand is not liable for indirect losses, lost profits or trading losses, and its total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights that consumer law gives you and that cannot be limited.
Governing law
Estonian law applies. If you are a consumer in another EU country, the mandatory protections of your own country still apply, and you may bring claims there. The European Commission's online dispute resolution platform is available at ec.europa.eu/odr.
